Information and Costs
You may be wondering if therapy is for you? You may still have lots of questions about what will happen or be wondering about how it will feel?

To help settle these wonderings, I offer an initial 50 minute session for £30 where we will meet, discuss what you would like to achieve from therapy and ensure we are comfortable to work together. If you are struggling to make ends meet, I do offer some low-cost slots, please enquire for further details. I aim to respond to all enquires within 48 hours.

I currently work on Mondays and Tuesdays from my office at 13-14 Orchard Street in the centre of Bristol (address below).

Sessions would then take place on the day and time agreed by us for 50 minutes weekly
My standard fee is £70 per session.
My 'pay-it-forward' fee is £120. See FAQ's below for more on what this means and what your money will go to fund.

The length of therapy can be short-term (approx. 8-16 weeks) or long-term depending on your need and we will discuss this in our first meeting.

Why have three price points?
In short - because clients have different earnings and different needs but our NHS is not likely to change soon. While therapists in private practice pick up those in need, we need to fund our work effectively.

Tell me more...?

We know that having wealth, being able bodied, neurotypical, white, and from a stable family bring privilege, but it has become very clear to me after 10 years in the mental health industry that one of the major privileges is access to long term psychotherapy with your choice of therapist.
Some of those most in need of long term, reparative, trauma-focussed psychotherapy (the type I offer) are also those who are unable to afford it. These include people who are care experienced for example, or have experienced abuse from within their own family which has left them crushed.

Haven't I seen this kind of 'pay-it-forward' structure before?

Yes! In coffee shops perhaps - on a small scale. Or in lawyers firms on a larger scale.
I feel a moral responsibility (as do most therapists) to offer low cost slots or charity work. Across 8 clients, I offer two such slots and a days' low-cost work for Rockabye CIC. I have done this my whole therapeutic career and tried to keep a balance but what struck me (when I realised I couldn't afford therapy myself) was that I wasn't balancing the low cost with higher cost clients to re-distribute the wealth. The law industry calls this 'pro-bono' and I'm introducing this into my therapeutic pay structure.

So, if you feel you earn enough to offer the gift of therapy to another, please consider paying £120/session.

It will allow me to increase my capacity to offer support to those who need it most. Thankyou
